माया ठकुरीद्वारा लिखित कथा संग्रह 'प्रियंवदा' का कथाहरूको सारांश
  1. प्रियंवदा - विस्मृति हुने रोग लागेका प्रियंवदालार्इ डाक्टरले नयाँ भाषा सिक्न सुझाउँछन् । उनको त्यो रोग बढ्दै जाँदा असामान्य अवस्थामा पुग्दछ ।  
  2. किन्नर - भारतका बजारहरूमा जवरजस्ती वनाइएका एक नेपाली किशोरको किन्नर भएर ब्यतित गरिरहेका कथा ब्यथा । 
  3. सुनको पिँजडा - छोरा छोरी दुबै विदेशिए पछि अामाको मुख हेर्ने दिन ती दमयन्ती र सत्यव्रतलार्इ न्यास्रो लाग्छ । यहिं दिन उनी हरूलार्इ कसैले मुख हेर्न अाउँछ । माइली, त्यहि घरमा काम गर्ने केटी मिठाइ लिएर अाउँछिन । 'अामाको मुख हेर्ने दिनमा मात्र अाएर हुँदैन, बाउको मुख हेर्ने दिनमा पनि अाउनु पर्छ नि ।' सत्यव्रतले यसो भनेका थिए अन्तमा। 
  4. मेरो श्रीमान् को विहे - ज्योतिषले चिना हेरे पछि दोस्रो विहे नगरे सम्म रोग दुःखबाट मुक्त नहुने बताएपछि उनको विहेको तयारी शुरू हुन्छ । उनको श्रीमतीलार्इ अनाैठो लागिरहेको थियो भने छोराछोरीहरू बाउको विहे भनेर रमाइरहेका थिए । विवाह स्थल सबै पुगे । त्यहाँ दुलहीका रूपमा अाँकको बोटलार्इ खुब सजाएर ठिङ्ग उभ्याइएको थियो ।   
  5. दृश्य - परिदृश्य  - भारतको बेश्यालयबाट उद्धार गरि ल्याएका चेलीको दर्दनाक कथा जसमा ती चेलीहरूले बेश्यालयमा दिएका यातना मात्र भोगेका होइनन् समाज र परिवार समेतको वहिष्कार समेत खेपेको छ । 
  6. द पाइड पाइपर - द पाइड पाइपरको क्लासिक कथा पढ्दा पढ्दै अाफ्नो पसलमा फोन गर्न अाएका ग्राहकहरूको विदेशिएका छोरा छोरीहरू सँग गरेका वार्तालाप सुन्दा सुन्दै यो कथा तयार भएको छ । 
  7. असजिला प्रश्नहरू - बेजातको केटी भनी विहे गर्न नदिएकोले छोरो ध्रुवको जीवन उदासमै विते भने त्यहिं अामाबाबुले विदेशि केटासँग अाफ्नो छोरीको सानका साथ विहे गर्न स्विकृति दिए । यो दोहोरो प्रवृत्तिको यस कथामा उदाङ्गिएको छ । 
  8. अागोको ज्वाला - अनाथ बालक जसको दिदिलार्इ अचानकै बेपत्ता पारे । उनी त्यस अनाथालयमा अाए देखि रिसाहा र अरूको काम विगारिदिने गर्दथे । एक दिन त गोठमा अागो लगाइदिने । उनको विगतको पीडाका कारण त्यस्ता अनाैठा ब्यवहारहरू देखाइरहेका थिए । रमिला मिसले उनलार्इ अंगालो हालेर छातिमा टासिन् । उनी दिदि दिदि भनी रून थाले । 
  9. बोक्सी - एउटी  निसहाय एक्ली स्त्रीको कथा जसलार्इ समाजले बोक्सीको संज्ञा दिएर तिरस्कार गरेको छ । उनको मानसिक अवस्था दिन प्रतिदिन डर, त्रास र तिरस्कारको भुमरीमा परी विक्षिप्ततामा पुगीसकेको थियो । उ प्राय जसो अाफ्ना सिन्का जस्ता पातला हातगोडा खुम्च्याएर, दुवै हात घुँडा लुकाएर रूँदै कहालिंदै भुइँमा लडीबुडी गर्दै भन्ने गर्दछे - मलार्इ नमार मलार्इ छोडीदेउ । नाइ म खान्न , म बोक्सी होइन । म माथी दया गर । ...
  10. पहिचान - अायुषमा बाल्यकाल देखि नै केटा भए पनि केटीको स्वभाव देखिन्थ्यो । बच्चा बेला परिवार सबैले उनको नाच देखेर मख्ख पर्थे र स्यावासी दिन्थे । तर पछि उनको अनाैठो ब्यवहारलार्इ परिवारले समेत तिसस्कार गर्न थाले । पुलिसले उनलार्इ वस्न खान दिएको थिएन । यस्तो विवसतामा बाँचेका अायुषलार्इ केहिं हाैसला दिने विकासका कारण उनालाइ केहिं साहस अाएको छ । 
  11. अन्तिम निर्णय - सिमाना पारीका डाकुहरूको चपेटामा परेका नरप्रसाद अाफ्नो सात बर्षीय छोरी प्रति हुने सम्भावित नृसंस यातना र वलात्कारदेखि त्रसित भइ उनको हातमा भएको खुकुरीको बेग कता दोहर्याउने भनी अन्तिम निर्णय लिए । 
  12. नीलकण्ठ सर - उमेर पुगेर अवकाश प्राप्त गरेका नीलकण्ठ सरले अवकास पश्चात् पनि स्कूल छोड्न सकेनन् । 
  13. रात त मेरो पनि हो - जड्याहा हरिहरको अाफ्नी श्रीमती अम्विका प्रतिको दुर्ब्यवहारको सीमा नाध्छ । उनी पक्षघातको रोगी हुन्छ । त्यस पश्चात् मात्र अम्विकाले अाफ्नो रात विताउन पाउँछन् ।

  1. FORGET  
    • What you know already. 
    • anything that is not important at that time. 
    • all kinds of limitation. 
  2. ACTIVE
    • Learning is not a spectator's sports.
    • get involved in the process
    • taking notes
    • comment
    • ask question.  
  3. STATE
    • What you are feeling ? 
    • information combined with the emotion become a long term memory. 
    • all learning are dependent on states
  4. TEACH
    • Learn as if you need to teach that some body
    • so you take notes
    • when you teach you learn twice.

  • In most of the school, it is taught that 'what to learn?' but it is not taught that 'how to  learn?'
  • Need to teach 'Meta learning'.

    • M - Motivation [ask why do you want remember ?]
    • O = Observation [listen or watch carefully, be present at that moment]
    • M=  Mechanics [Strategies]
